Shipping Policy

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Astumark Stores Limited aims to get tools, machinery, and equipment to customers safely and as quickly as reasonably possible from our Nairobi store. This Shipping Policy explains how we handle dispatch, delivery timelines, charges, bulky freight, and delivery support for orders placed with Astumark.

1. Where We Deliver

Astumark supports delivery within Nairobi and to other towns across Kenya through available courier, parcel, and freight arrangements. Standard items may move through parcel services, while bulky or heavy products such as generators, pumps, welders, agricultural equipment, and larger tools may require freight handling or a special transport arrangement.

2. Handling and Dispatch

Orders are usually prepared for dispatch after stock confirmation and payment review where required. Orders placed during working hours may be processed the same day where practical, while later orders, Sunday requests, or public holiday requests may be handled in the next available working period. If an item is out of stock, special-order, or requires additional preparation, Astumark may contact the customer before dispatch.

3. Estimated Delivery Time

Delivery timing depends on stock availability, destination, item size, payment confirmation, and the transport option being used. Deliveries within Nairobi may move faster than deliveries to upcountry towns or remote areas. Transit timelines are estimates only and may be affected by road conditions, weather, traffic, parcel service schedules, or freight handling requirements.

4. Shipping Charges

Shipping or delivery charges vary depending on the product, order size, destination, and delivery arrangement. Standard charges may appear at checkout for ordinary orders. For Nairobi CBD pay on delivery requests, delivery may range from KSh 200 to KSh 500 depending on whether Bolt or Uber parcel is used. Heavy or oversize goods may require a separate freight quotation before the order is finalized.

5. Receiving and Inspecting Orders

Customers should ensure that someone is available to receive the order and inspect it at handover. If packaging appears damaged, incomplete, or suspicious, customers should note the issue immediately and contact Astumark as soon as possible with photos or supporting details where available.

6. Click and Collect

Where pickup is agreed, customers may collect their order from the Astumark shop after receiving confirmation that it is ready. Collection may require order details, phone number, or proof of purchase.

7. Pay on Delivery Requests

Pay on delivery is currently limited to eligible locations such as Nairobi CBD and may be subject to the product type, order value, and delivery practicality. Astumark may confirm a pay on delivery order by phone or WhatsApp before dispatch. If delivery fails because the customer is unavailable or delivery details are inaccurate, re-delivery charges or revised payment terms may apply.

8. Bulky Freight and Access

For heavy, bulky, or sensitive equipment, customers should ensure that the delivery point is accessible and suitable for safe offloading. If stairs, long carry distances, restricted access, or special offloading support is required, Astumark should be informed in advance so the delivery arrangement can be planned properly.

9. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate names, phone numbers, and delivery details. Delays, failed deliveries, or extra delivery charges may arise where information is incomplete, inaccurate, or changed after processing begins.
